Officer Officer Protocol Below |
|
Officer Protocol The Royalty is the Core of the Swarm. The Emperor runs the guild, while the Overlord and the Hive Commanders work closely with him supplying critical information and advice. As Officers you are expected to stand by the Emperor's decisions and back the Royalty up as needed. The Emperor and Royalty rely on you heavily for your support. You are not only the enforcers of guild policies but the eyes and ears of the Swarm as well. The Officers have a great responsibility to the swarm and are the backbone of this Empire. It is also critical that the officers maintain a helpful and positive attitude. They will regularly assist in leading groups of swarmers for both PvE and RvR. If you are in this position that means you have put your time in as warlord, and proven yourself. But this does not mean your help to the guild is at an end. Quite the opposite. As an officer you should be supplying new members with guild info: what is expected, web site, meeting times, etc. While you interact with the guild it is also expected that you supply the royalty with progress reports of guild members, guild related issues and make recommendations for promotions during the officer meeting. If you are unable to meet these requirements, you will be asked to step down and take on the rank of Vanguard once more. Voice Communication and Messaging: Officers and Royalty contact each other outside of DaoC using Yahoo Messenger. Download Yahoo Messenger here for Windows. Then Add the Emperor to your friends list screen name: Pinhead_333. You can e-mail the Emperor at any time if you have an issue: msentene@aol.com Sunday 11:00 am PST Officer Meeting: All Officers on line meet at the guild meeting spot, together they join in officer chat with Royalty to cover all guild meeting issues. ALL promotions are discussed at this time. The officers and royalty will make suggestions to the Emperor. The Emperor will then hold a vote for those up for promotion. A simple "Y" or "N" is all that is needed at this time, further detail may be requested later. What is discussed here is classified. As an officer it is a matter of trust for you to keep the voting and officer meeting content confidential. If information is intended for the guild, it will be brought out in the meeting by the Emperor. Guild Meeting: All members on line are expected to be at the meeting at this time. The Officers are expected to help enforce this as well as helping organize the guild. The Royalty is often very busy at this point. So it falls on the officers to help keep the guild running in an orderly fashion. If members speak out of turn, the officers are expected to politely request them to respect the meeting and the current speaker. If individuals continue to disrupt, the Royalty may have to take action. It is the Emperor's job to mediate the discussion, and he will call on people at the appropriate time. It is expected that the individual shows respect to the meeting and to the guild by raising their hand to be recognized, and when called upon, stand while speaking. Proper etiquette is ALWAYS bow to officers and royalty, especially if you are up for promotion, encouraging reminders are sometimes required. Once again we rely on the officers heavily to assist in this area. All officers are expected to be role models as well as represent the SWARM wherever they are. Part of this is appearance. Our guild emblem should be worn proudly, and guild colors are strongly encouraged. Royal Yellow and Black are the SWARM's guild colors. If you are short on cash, Yellow and Charcoal make an acceptable substitute. Below is the desired scheme (Royal Yellow Gloves and Boots, with Black everywhere else. Optional: Royal Yellow hat)
